Medical Assistance Transportation |
The Medical Assistance Transportation Program (MATP) is funded by
the State Department of Public Welfare. It is designed to assist persons who are eligible Medical
Assistance recipients to receive funds to offset the transportation costs
involved in obtaining medical treatment and prescription drugs.
Caseworker assistance includes:

Initial interview and
application with the client to determine eligibility for the program; |

Maintaining records of the number of trips taken; |
|
 |
Collection of vouchers and
determination of reimbursement amount; and |

 |
The issuance of checks to
clients |
