Potter County Human Services is a coordinated, comprehensive human services
system which operates under a single administrative, fiscal, and program
structure. We offer a wide spectrum of assistance to residents of the
county, ranging from families facing many complex problems to individuals who
require brief interventions or referral to other appropriate resources.
Although our assistance may involve the provision of basic types of services
such as food, clothing or emergency housing, the major emphasis is the provision
of direct social services such as drug and alcohol assessment and treatment,
child protective services, aging in-home support, and mental health crisis
intervention. Services provided by this agency stress the preservation of
families, and are intended to prevent out of home placements through efforts
such as the coordination of services to multi-problem families, and the
development and provision of prevention programs.
Potter County Human Services' coordinated system of social services for
county residents includes the following program areas:
