Services

Potter County Human Services is a coordinated, comprehensive human services system which operates under a single administrative, fiscal, and program structure.  We offer a wide spectrum of assistance to residents of the county, ranging from families facing many complex problems to individuals who require brief interventions or referral to other appropriate resources.

Although our assistance may involve the provision of basic types of services such as food, clothing or emergency housing, the major emphasis is the provision of direct social services such as drug and alcohol assessment and treatment, child protective services, aging in-home support, and mental health crisis intervention.  Services provided by this agency stress the preservation of families, and are intended to prevent out of home placements through efforts such as  the coordination of services to multi-problem families, and the development and provision of prevention programs.

Potter County Human Services' coordinated system of social services for county residents includes the following program areas:

Alcohol, Tobacco & Other Drugs

Area Agency on Aging
